My name is Steve and I manage this website as well as give insight for the direction of Tokyo Fashion Forefront.
My goal is to take the local level of the fashion scene to international visibility.
I am a US Navy veteran photojournalist and spend much of my free time shooting film and digital photography, networking, writing music, and exploring Tokyo. I am currently attending Temple University Japan Campus majoring in Art and Communications.

Meillyn Molina

Hello!! I am Meillyn an event recruiter, photographer, and photo editor for Tokyo Fashion Forefront.
I am from Guatemala, but lived in LA for ten years and in Tokyo for two and a half years. I am currently a junior in Temple University Japan as a Communications major and minoring in Asian Studies. I have a background mostly in Performing arts such as musicals, choir, different styles of dance (hip hop, contemporary, and jazz). Also, photography. I am interested in fashion, mostly street wear in Tokyo, Korea, and LA. I often attend fashion events in Tokyo and LA.

Hey there, I’m Kaya, the editor for Tokyo Fashion Forefront and a lover of photography, writing and other arts. I have a strong background in the visual arts as well as film production. Currently, I’m a junior at Temple University’s Tokyo campus majoring in Communication studies and minoring in Art. Hailing from both the eastern half of the United States and southern Norway the more creative Tokyo fashion scene has long inspired me, but I always manage to incorporate Scandinavia’s “clean but cozy” element into my everyday as well (layering is key).

Two of my favorite areas of Tokyo are Shimokitazawa and the Harajuku/Omotesando area for the best vintage and thrifted finds, and I love Zara, the Norwegian brand Bik Bok, and BDG from Urban outfitters (sadly not in Japan…)

I am Jasmin Modelo, a Tokyo based creative currently studying Communications at Temple University, Japan. Born in Manila and raised in Chicago, I have been freelancing in photography, video, and digital art since I was 18. I find my fashion inspiration from weekly visits to the thrift and streetwear trends. I am the lead videographer at Tokyo Fashion Forefront.
Hsiao Kuan Chu

Current senior at Temple University Japan majoring in Communications. However, what I want to be known as is a hypebeast and sneakerhead who shares street knowledge with the untrained minds. As the journalist who specializes in streetwear in the group, I want to show the side of fashion that truly is unique and nonconforming to traditional fashion standards. With fashion empires such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci succumbing to streetwear trends, they hired Virgol Abloh,and Alessandro Michele respectively, who were already well known in the street world, to infuse luxury with street. If it is not too good for Louis Vuitton and Gucci, It is not too good for us.

I was born in Florida, but have lived in Japan for about the last seven years. I’ve been interested in video production since high school and have made many videos in and out of the classroom. When I’m not at school, I’m usually on my computer playing video games or making videos. I hope you enjoy our content!

I am a student at Temple University in Japan who is currently majoring in Communications Studies. I am the translator for Tokyo Fashion Forefront. I like to wear simple colors, but I am fascinated by all the hypebeast and clout-chasing fashion that you see in downtown Tokyo. In my freetime, I like to watch movies or discovering new places in Tokyo. I am born in Atlanta, Georgia, but spent most of my life living in Italy and Japan. Hey everyone! I’m Robert Caragay, born in Manila but mostly raised in Tokyo. I am one of the editors of the Tokyo Fashion Forefront and have been into filmmaking since high school. I am currently a Junior majoring Communications Media at Temple University Japan Campus and have been taking several production courses to harness my filmmaking set skills. I have created several travel vlogs around Japan for a YouTube group project and was also a Production Assistant in a music video for a Japanese heavy-metal band. In my freetime, I sometimes take photos and I am part of the TUJ Volleyball Club, serving as the current captain.

I am currently a senior double-majoring in Psychology and Communications at Temple University Japan. From Korea to the Philippines, Hawaii to Boston, and finally to Japan, I have lived in several interesting places throughout my life, which has helped me to see different styles around the world. I am interested learning and would love to work with photography.
